Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Marcellus Cross in the 26th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ervin Mayes prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Connecticut FC's Shayne Herrera proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 28th minute of the match, managed to save Connecticut FC from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Casey Carroll in the 30th minute of play forced Connecticut FC's goalkeeper Shayne Herrera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
