With an extended leg and a bit of luck Markus Camp prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Markus Camp made a fantastic save in the 7th minute, when Shaun Arredondo sent off a good shot on target. Wim Dagelet made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Willie Maddox in the 11th minute of play. Wim Dagelet showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bronson Ladner in the 13th minute of the match. After having played for 14 minutes, Keenan Barth managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Carbondale FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Keenan Barth was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Shaun Arredondo got free with Markus Camp in the 16th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Shaun Arredondo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 22nd minute, Shaun Arredondo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Carbondale FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Shaun Arredondo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Markus Camp breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 44th minute of the match Kenneth Joyner shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Markus Camp showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 45 minutes into the match, Keenan Barth had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Markus Camp. Queen Creek FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Keenan Barth was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

Markus Camp showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Keenan Barth in the 61st minute of the match. Queen Creek FC's Markus Camp played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Shaun Arredondo in the 69th minute of play. Carbondale FC's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
