Spectators: 6225 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1200, VIP seats: 25) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Keenan Barth took the kick off in the first half of the match. Willy Haskins took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 3rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Eldon Kelley. Bakersfield SC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Salvador Patten could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 7th minute of the match, but Wim Dagelet made a huge save. After 11 minutes of play, Carbondale FC's Keenan Barth made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Eldon Kelley was left in no man's land by his defense there! Keenan Barth took the ball and in the 16 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Eldon Kelley. Eldon Kelley dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. After a defensive mix-up in Bakersfield SC's zone, Keenan Barth stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Eldon Kelley came out of the goal and Keenan Barth tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Keenan Barth came up free with the goalie in the 20th minute, the Carbondale FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Keenan Barth couldn't finish the play. When Angelo Gregg fell near the penalty area in the 21st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Bakersfield SC's protests and gave Angelo Gregg a yellow card for diving instead. Carbondale FC's Shaun Arredondo got a good chance for a goal in the 22nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Keenan Barth in the 26th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Eldon Kelley prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Keenan Barth received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Eldon Kelley tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A hard shot 34 in the game by Salvador Patten from a close distance when the talented Wim Dagelet managed to make a qualified save. Carbondale FC's players were relieved. Salvador Patten sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some careless play in the Bakersfield SC defense, Richie Yeager kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Eldon Kelley. The Bakersfield SC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Eldon Kelley should have stopped the shot.

Shaun Arredondo who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 54thth minute tested the skills of Eldon Kelley when he managed to save the team from getting behind. If Keenan Barth had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Bakersfield SC's Salvador Patten in the 57th minute got a chance for a shot 57th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Carbondale FC's goalie prevented a goal. Dylan Hetfield recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 63rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of Carbondale FC booed when Bakersfield SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Blaine Henson didn't get a good kick on the ball. Eldon Kelley made a fantastic save in the 68th minute, when Shaun Arredondo sent off a good shot on target. In the 69th minute Keenan Barth shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eldon Kelley saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Shaun Arredondo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 71st minute of the match, but Eldon Kelley made a huge save. In the 73rd minute Salvador Patten shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wim Dagelet saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee gave Bakersfield SC a penalty, 82 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Darrel Whalen, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Carbondale FC's Wim Dagelet. 1-4. 88 minutes into the match, Carbondale FC's Richie Yeager sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Eldon Kelley narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Salvador Patten sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Eldon Kelley made a fantastic save in the 92nd minute, when Shaun Arredondo sent off a good shot on target. After some fancy dribbling in the 96th minute, Salvador Patten managed to get in a good position for a shot. Bakersfield SC's supporters rose to their feet, but Salvador Patten was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Wim Dagelet breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After some careless play in the Carbondale FC defense, Von Gilbert kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Wim Dagelet. The Carbondale FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Wim Dagelet should have stopped the shot.
