The audience thought a goal was coming when Robbie Vaughn got free with Alex Crandall in the 4th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Alex Crandall made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Garry Cormier in the 8th minute of play. Alex Crandall showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Garry Cormier in the 10th minute of the match. Alex Crandall came out of the goal in the 14th minute to try and stop a shot by S & N Fairway FC's Robbie Vaughn. But to his dismay, Robbie Vaughn quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. 19 minutes into the match, Virginia settlers's goal looked a bit too open when Garry Cormier came free, but Alex Crandall reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 28 minutes into the game, Garry Cormier was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. S & N Fairway FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Virginia settlers the free kick. After 28 played minutes S & N Fairway FC got a freekick which was hit by Garry Cormier. Tuan Hirsch's late challenge caught a Virginia settlers's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Tuan Hirsch helped the player get up and apologised. After 29 played minutes S & N Fairway FC got a freekick which was hit by Tuan Hirsch. Alex Crandall took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Garry Cormier, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Robbie Vaughn sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some careless play in the Virginia settlers defense, Robbie Vaughn kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Alex Crandall. The Virginia settlers fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Alex Crandall should have stopped the shot. After 60 minutes, Preston Hancock mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Virginia settlers and the S & N Fairway FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 60th match minute, Virginia settlers was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Preston Hancock to maneuver through the defense. When Tuan Hirsch came up free with the goalie in the 61st minute, the S & N Fairway FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tuan Hirsch couldn't finish the play. In the 69th minute, S & N Fairway FC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Quintin Nichols fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Lance Bryson during the 72nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 74th minute, Robbie Vaughn hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Virginia settlers getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Wes Jarvis hit a great ball. Alex Crandall showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tuan Hirsch, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. Garry Cormier received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Alex Crandall tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Virginia settlers's Alex Crandall played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Garry Cormier in the 87th minute of play. Norman Bradshaw kicked well hit freekick during the 98th minute of the match. S & N Fairway FC's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
