But to his dismay, Bailey Wooten quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Alex Crandall showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bailey Wooten, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. Alex Crandall made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bailey Wooten in the 32nd minute of play. Alex Crandall took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Harry Benton, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some careless play in the Virginia settlers defense, Bailey Wooten kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Alex Crandall. The Virginia settlers fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Alex Crandall should have stopped the shot. Alex Crandall stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Harry Benton's shot from short distance in the 39th minute. Lance Bryson's late challenge caught a Charles City's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Lance Bryson helped the player get up and apologised. Lance Bryson hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. In the 48th minute, Harry Benton made a precise shot to the right of Alex Crandall. Virginia settlers's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-4. The Virginia settlers players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Charles City were winning 0-4.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Bailey Wooten was the one to do the kick off. When the match clock showed 55 minutes, the score became 0-5 when Bailey Wooten sped through Virginia settlers's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Alex Crandall. The supporters of Charles City booed when Virginia settlers was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lance Bryson didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a little luck, Virginia settlers's Alex Crandall got control of the ball when Harry Benton tried to sneak it across the goal line. Harry Benton received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Alex Crandall tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Alex Crandall didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 65th minute, which inside left pole to 0-6. Thanks to some nice moves Harry Benton could shoot a difficult shot in the 78th minute, which Alex Crandall however easily saved by the left post. Alex Crandall showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bailey Wooten in the 83rd minute of the match. After 86 played minutes Charles City got a freekick which was hit by Timmy Velasquez. Alex Crandall took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bailey Wooten, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 91 minutes into the game, Charles City's Harry Benton nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Alex Crandall made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-7. When the final whistle sounded Charles City left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Virginia settlers.
