Antonio Ring received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Owen Crain tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Clint Person sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 22nd minute, Clint Person reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Kory Matlock. The goal made the score 1-0. In the 42nd match minute, Edgewater SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Joe Atwood to maneuver through the defense. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Darell Biggs to make the kick off. After a rather tough play, Edgewater SC's Ivan Cahill got a free kick in the 52nd minute. The supporters of Edgewater SC booed when Heroes From Yerevan was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. John Cohen didn't get a good kick on the ball. Kory Matlock took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joe Atwood, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Edgewater SC's Timothy Irwin pulled a muscle in his leg after 65 minutes and couldn't finish the game. Dane Fulton charged in rather forcefully in the 65th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Dane Fulton the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Edgewater SC made a substitution. Jason Eubanks replaced Timothy Irwin. In the 66th match minute, Heroes From Yerevan was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dane Fulton to maneuver through the defense. Joe Atwood fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kory Matlock having to interfere. 74 minutes in the game, Darell Biggs fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Owen Crain having to interfere. 79 minutes into the game, Lamar Weaver was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Edgewater SC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Heroes From Yerevan the free kick. In the 79th match minute, Edgewater SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lamar Weaver to maneuver through the defense. When Antonio Ring came up free with the goalie in the 80th minute, the Heroes From Yerevan fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Antonio Ring couldn't finish the play. Darell Biggs struck a weak shot in the 96th minute. Owen Crain didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Heroes From Yerevan. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Edgewater SC fully deserved thier win.
