Loren Black didn't get a good kick on the ball. Aidan Gagne fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Stan Silva having to interfere. Jared Lyon's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Stan Silva read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 36th minute of play. Wilson Woodson blasted a shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Will Rouse having to make a save. After a defensive mix-up in Praetorians's zone, Aidan Gagne stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Stan Silva came out of the goal and Aidan Gagne tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Edmundo Fisher hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Jay Bain stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After having played for 57 minutes, Loren Black managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Plymouth's supporters crossed their fingers, but Loren Black was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Loren Black came up free with the goalie in the 59th minute, the Plymouth fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Loren Black couldn't finish the play. 61 minutes into the match, Plymouth's goal looked a bit too open when Alvin Driver came free, but Will Rouse reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
