Spectators: 7764 (Terracing: 5824,
Seating: 1786, VIP seats: 154) Hal Glass made the kick off and thus started the match. A collision led to Reamstown getting a freekick after 4 minutes play. Oren Webber hit a great ball. Dwight Webster struck a weak shot in the 9th minute. Steven Gaston didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for MONTERREY. The supporters of MONTERREY booed when Reamstown was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Glenn Bagley didn't get a good kick on the ball. Hal Glass sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Steven Gaston made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dwight Webster in the 18th minute of play. After a rather tough play, MONTERREY's Dwight Webster got a free kick in the 26th minute. Lonnie Frey kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. Victor Lugo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 29th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 32nd match minute, Reamstown was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kyle Connor to maneuver through the defense. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Hal Glass in the 34th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Steven Gaston prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Hal Glass struck a weak shot in the 35th minute. Steven Gaston didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for MONTERREY. After some fancy dribbling in the 41st minute, Lonnie Frey managed to get in a good position for a shot. MONTERREY's supporters rose to their feet, but Lonnie Frey was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Steven Gaston breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Hal Glass fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Steven Gaston having to interfere. In the 44th match minute, Reamstown was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Glenn Bagley to maneuver through the defense. In the 46th minute of the match Stacy Mullins shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Steven Gaston showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. A collision led to Reamstown getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Victor Lugo hit a great ball. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Victor Lugo to strike the kick off in the second half. If Dwight Webster had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Hal Glass came up free with the goalie in the 57th minute, the MONTERREY fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hal Glass couldn't finish the play. After 65 minutes, Michael Deering mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Reamstown and the MONTERREY players grew even worse after the yellow card. Michael Deering hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. If Hal Glass had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 69 minutes into the match, Dwight Webster notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Reamstown's Steven Gaston. Steven Gaston was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 74th minute, Victor Lugo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Steven Gaston made an important save on a dangerous shot by Hal Glass in the 75th minute. Marcellus Paige struck a weak shot in the 77th minute. Scotty Aldrich didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Reamstown. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hal Glass in the 80th minute of play forced Reamstown's goalkeeper Steven Gaston to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 82nd minute, Dwight Webster managed to get in a good position for a shot. MONTERREY's supporters rose to their feet, but Dwight Webster was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Steven Gaston breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Reamstown's Steven Gaston proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 88th minute of the match, managed to save Reamstown from getting a goal against them. In the 90th minute, Dwight Webster ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Steven Gaston was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. If Dwight Webster had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 98th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. MONTERREY's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
