Davis Carlos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Harry Walden having to interfere. Lucien Kerns could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 29th minute of the match, but Phillip Grimes made a huge save. Johnathan Weaver charged in rather forcefully in the 30th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Johnathan Weaver the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Johnathan Weaver kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. 32 minutes into the match, América de Cali's goalkeeper Phillip Grimes had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Lucien Kerns. C. A. Ituzaingó's Harry Walden played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Davis Carlos in the 45th minute of play. The C. A. Ituzaingó players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. América de Cali were winning 0-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Dallas Elmore to strike the kick off in the second half. 54 minutes into the match, C. A. Ituzaingó's goalkeeper Harry Walden had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Derrick Todd. Derrick Todd received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Harry Walden tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Davis Carlos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Derrick Todd fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Harry Walden having to interfere. C. A. Ituzaingó's Harry Walden proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 66th minute of the match, managed to save C. A. Ituzaingó from getting a goal against them. Harry Walden took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Davis Carlos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in América de Cali's zone, Lucien Kerns stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Phillip Grimes came out of the goal and Lucien Kerns tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 76 minutes into the match, América de Cali's goal looked a bit too open when Lucien Kerns came free, but Phillip Grimes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Lucien Kerns recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 80th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Dallas Elmore sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Dallas Elmore's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Phillip Grimes read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 90th minute of play. If Davis Carlos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
