Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Oren Kennedy made the kick off which started today's match. Zachariah Dutton received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 5th minute. Boyce Whittington tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cliffwood Beach FC's Boyce Whittington played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Orville Michael in the 8th minute of play. In the 10th minute, Oren Kennedy left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Cliffwood Beach FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. In the 14th minute Orville Michael shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Boyce Whittington saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ripley's Zachariah Dutton got a good chance for a goal in the 15th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Cliffwood Beach FC's Boyce Whittington played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Orville Michael in the 17th minute of play. Cliffwood Beach FC's Boyce Whittington proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 19th minute of the match, managed to save Cliffwood Beach FC from getting a goal against them. After having played for 22 minutes, Oren Kennedy managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cliffwood Beach FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Oren Kennedy was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 24th match minute, Ripley was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Garrett Pittman to maneuver through the defense. In the 29th minute, Ernesto Ragsdale hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Cliffwood Beach FC's zone, Orville Michael stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Boyce Whittington came out of the goal and Orville Michael tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 36th minute, Wiley Adair hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jake Hong during the 42nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Ripley booed when Cliffwood Beach FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jake Hong didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ripley's Sol Moody couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Cliffwood Beach FC. The audience was convinced that Orville Michael's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Boyce Whittington was relentless in the 45th minute of the game. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Zachariah Dutton in the 53rd minute of play forced Cliffwood Beach FC's goalkeeper Boyce Whittington to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Zachariah Dutton took the ball and in the 54 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Boyce Whittington. Boyce Whittington dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-2. Boyce Whittington took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Orville Michael, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Orville Michael sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Orville Michael fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Boyce Whittington having to interfere. When Salvatore Chan came up free with the goalie in the 70th minute, the Ripley fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Salvatore Chan couldn't finish the play. Salvatore Chan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Boyce Whittington having to interfere. In the 81st minute Orville Michael shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Boyce Whittington saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 85th minute Ripley were awarded a corner. Sol Moody went to the cornerflag to take it. A nice corner shot did that Kurtis Fenton got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Boyce Whittington quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Zachariah Dutton blasted a shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Boyce Whittington having to make a save. Wiley Adair's late challenge caught a Ripley's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Wiley Adair helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Ripley booed when Cliffwood Beach FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Wiley Adair didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 91 minutes Cliffwood Beach FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Sol Moody who took care of the corner kick. Sol Moody made a great header on Ripley's corner, it was just that Cliffwood Beach FC's Boyce Whittington managed to reach the ball for a save. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Ripley players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
