Jay Booker hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. Danny Barton sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 22nd minute, Gabriel Sumner hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Darell Murdock took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Danny Barton, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 27 minutes into the match, Lake Mohawk's goalkeeper Jerome Schafer had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Domenic Lockhart. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Cobi Barajas in the 28th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Darell Murdock saved Wallingford AFC from getting behind. Danny Barton blasted a shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Darell Murdock having to make a save. After a defensive mix-up in Wallingford AFC's zone, Cobi Barajas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Darell Murdock came out of the goal and Cobi Barajas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

When Wallingford AFC's Quentin Murry in the 52nd minute got a chance for a shot 52nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Wallingford AFC's Darell Murdock proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 80th minute of the match, managed to save Wallingford AFC from getting a goal against them.
