In the 14th minute, Selinsgrove's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Rolf Dozier fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. 17 minutes into the match, Atlanta FC's Rolf Dozier sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Bradley Coulter narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Bradley Coulter, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. A collision led to Selinsgrove getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Kris Lawler hit a great ball. 44 minutes into the match, Atlanta FC's Scottie Tuttle broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Ken Hartman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bradley Coulter having to interfere. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

After having played for 52 minutes, Ken Hartman managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Atlanta FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ken Hartman was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 55 minutes into the game, Ken Hartman cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Bradley Coulter was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Rolf Dozier fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bradley Coulter having to interfere. After having played for 62 minutes, Ken Hartman managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Bradley Coulter stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Rolf Dozier's shot from short distance in the 71st minute. Through an outstanding action, after 73 minutes, Foster Patterson successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Ken Hartman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ken Hartman in the 85th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Bradley Coulter saved Selinsgrove from getting behind. The supporters of Atlanta FC booed when Selinsgrove was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Grant Sheppard didn't get a good kick on the ball.
