After 9 played minutes C. A. Pipon Pipon 2.0 got a freekick which was hit by Nigel Ernst. After a rather tough play, C. A. Pipon Pipon 2.0's Nigel Ernst got a free kick in the 11th minute. Lloyd Steiner blasted a shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Emanuel Bennett having to make a save. Alfonzo Vargas hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. Francis Engle sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience thought a goal was coming when Francis Engle got free with Santiago Kelley in the 23rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. C. A. Pipon Pipon 2.0's Shannon Eckert got a good chance for a goal in the 26th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Sammy Rodriquez recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 30th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Emanuel Bennett made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sammy Rodriquez in the 32nd minute of play. In the 41st match minute, Thrives FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Matt Beam to maneuver through the defense. In the 42nd minute, Francis Engle hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 46th minute, Sammy Rodriquez ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Emanuel Bennett was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Shannon Eckert stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 55 minutes into the match, Thrives FC's goal looked a bit too open when Matthew Frey came free, but Santiago Kelley reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Santiago Kelley showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Shannon Eckert, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. In the 81st minute Sammy Rodriquez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Emanuel Bennett saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of C. A. Pipon Pipon 2.0 booed when Thrives FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Matt Beam didn't get a good kick on the ball. 83 minutes into the match, C. A. Pipon Pipon 2.0's Bruce McIntyre broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Lloyd Steiner fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Emanuel Bennett having to interfere. Thrives FC's Santiago Kelley played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Shannon Eckert in the 89th minute of play. If Lloyd Steiner had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The C. A. Pipon Pipon 2.0 fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Thrives FC were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
