Theo Riker didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for El Lago. In the 12th minute Todd Candido shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Theo Riker saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 12 minutes, Donovan Howell mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the White Oak AFC and the El Lago players grew even worse after the yellow card. Donovan Howell hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. Owen Ryder recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 14th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 17th minute Palmer Potter shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Theo Riker saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 18th minute, Donovan Howell hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 19 minutes into the game, Palmer Potter cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Theo Riker was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Abe Bain in the 27th minute of play forced El Lago's goalkeeper Luke Sumner to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Byron Molina fell near the penalty area in the 28th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored El Lago's protests and gave Byron Molina a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to El Lago getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Byron Molina hit a great ball. In the 33rd match minute, El Lago was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by DeAndre Gorman to maneuver through the defense. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Abe Bain in the 34th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Luke Sumner saved El Lago from getting behind. Theo Riker took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Palmer Potter, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Palmer Potter sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. White Oak AFC's Donovan Howell got his second yellow card of the match in the 48th minute. The referee ordered Donovan Howell off the ground. Donovan Howell hit a great freekick 48 minutes into the match. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Perry Patton stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in El Lago's zone, Perry Patton stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Luke Sumner came out of the goal and Perry Patton tried to chip the ball over his head. But to his dismay, Owen Ryder quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. White Oak AFC's Theo Riker proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 73rd minute of the match, managed to save White Oak AFC from getting a goal against them. El Lago's Owen Ryder got a good chance for a goal in the 75th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Theo Riker showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Palmer Potter in the 76th minute of the match. In the 79th match minute, El Lago was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Byron Molina to maneuver through the defense. Enoch Gallo, 79 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. If Abe Bain had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Owen Ryder sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Palmer Potter received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Theo Riker tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. El Lago's Owen Ryder got a good chance for a goal in the 91st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 93rd minute, White Oak AFC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Palmer Potter fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. El Lago walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
