With an extended leg and a bit of luck Francesco Fleming prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Long Beach Sharks FC's Luke Caldwell was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Francesco Fleming in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. A collision led to Londrina Country Club getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Cason Louis hit a great ball. With his leg Francesco Fleming managed to avoid a goal in the 18thth minute, when Long Beach Sharks FC's Archie Vance fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. When the match had gone on for 25 minutes, Hank Cavazos took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Francesco Fleming to make any attempt to save it. Londrina Country Club's Francesco Fleming played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hank Cavazos in the 31st minute of play. Long Beach Sharks FC's Hank Cavazos got a good chance for a goal in the 33rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Francesco Fleming took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hank Cavazos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Dominique McQueen during the 35th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Hank Cavazos struck a weak shot in the 37th minute. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.
