With an extended leg and a bit of luck Cory Dudley prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Teddy Crowell charged in rather forcefully in the 18th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Teddy Crowell the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 18th minute of the game. One of Wellston AFC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Otsego City:s goal. Wellston AFC's Cory Dudley played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tracey McClelland in the 23rd minute of play. Cory Dudley showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tracey McClelland in the 25th minute of the match. Conrad Burks hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. Ross Randolph blasted a shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Adolfo Paul having to make a save. Ahmed Gallardo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 34th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Otsego City's Adolfo Paul proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 37th minute of the match, managed to save Otsego City from getting a goal against them. Lazaro Keene kicked well hit freekick during the 44th minute of the match. In the 45th minute Tracey McClelland shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cory Dudley saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ross Randolph to make the kick off. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Foster Ledbetter during the 56th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Otsego City booed when Wellston AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Foster Ledbetter didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 57th minute, Gregorio Avila got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Tracey McClelland received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Cory Dudley tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gregorio Avila sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 2-2 became the score in the 67th minute when Whitney Kendrick elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. When the match had gone on for 71 minutes, Gregorio Avila took a quick shot and it went in 2-3 without a chance for Cory Dudley to make any attempt to save it. Adolfo Paul showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ross Randolph in the 75th minute of the match. When Ross Randolph, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 75 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Adolfo Paul was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Cory Dudley made a fantastic save in the 82nd minute, when Gregorio Avila sent off a good shot on target. Tracey McClelland sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Otsego City's Gregorio Avila got a good chance for a goal in the 89th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Scotty Sheppard's late challenge caught a Otsego City's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Scotty Sheppard helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Wellston AFC's Scotty Sheppard got a free kick in the 91st minute. After a defensive mix-up in Otsego City's zone, Whitney Kendrick stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Adolfo Paul came out of the goal and Whitney Kendrick tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When the final whistle sounded Otsego City left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Wellston AFC.
