Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Logan Stockton took the kick off in the first half of the match. In the 7th minute, Oscar Paris got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 11th minute Oscar Paris shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Felipe Coronado saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 12th minute, Sid Aldrich managed to get in a good position for a shot. Newton Falls's supporters rose to their feet, but Sid Aldrich was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Felipe Coronado breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With a little luck, Newton Falls's Eric Browne got control of the ball when Jared Cody tried to sneak it across the goal line. Eric Browne showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Logan Stockton in the 16th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jared Cody got free with Eric Browne in the 24th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Jared Cody who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 28thth minute tested the skills of Eric Browne when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Oscar Paris received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Felipe Coronado tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sid Aldrich sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Eric Browne showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Logan Stockton in the 47th minute of the match. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Sid Aldrich to make the kick off. Felipe Coronado made a fantastic save in the 53rd minute, when Oscar Paris sent off a good shot on target. Eric Browne didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Harvey Bloom went, in the 56th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. Logan Stockton received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Eric Browne tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jared Cody struck a weak shot in the 68th minute. Eric Browne didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Elkhorn. When Elkhorn's Logan Stockton in the 70th minute got a chance for a shot 70th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Newton Falls's goalie prevented a goal. Sid Aldrich sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Junior Curran placed the ball on the penalty spot and got himself ready to shoot. Post out! The audience was convinced that Logan Stockton's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Eric Browne was relentless in the 82nd minute of the game. Elkhorn's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Junior Curran in the 85th minute. Elkhorn were awarded a corner in the 87th minute after Newton Falls's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Junior Curran took the corner. A nice corner shot did that Junior Curran got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Eric Browne quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Jared Cody fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eric Browne having to interfere. Sid Aldrich struck a weak shot in the 95th minute. Felipe Coronado didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Newton Falls. When Oscar Paris came up free with the goalie in the 98th minute, the Newton Falls fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Oscar Paris couldn't finish the play. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Elkhorn had won after a very even match.
