Spectators: 7298 (Terracing: 5798, Seating: 1500, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Stewart Bocanegra kicked off to start the match. In the 6th minute, Emerson Mora hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 7th minute, Colby Grubb left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Florida AFC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Colby Grubb in the 12th minute of play forced Honeyfreaks's goalkeeper James Reyna to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 15 minutes into the match, Honeyfreaks's goal looked a bit too open when Stewart Bocanegra came free, but James Reyna reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 16 played minutes Honeyfreaks got a freekick which was hit by Octavio Gregg. Honeyfreaks's James Reyna played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Colby Grubb in the 17th minute of play. Derek Sullivan made a fantastic save in the 19th minute, when Emerson Mora sent off a good shot on target. After some fancy dribbling in the 30th minute, Emerson Mora managed to get in a good position for a shot. Honeyfreaks's supporters rose to their feet, but Emerson Mora was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Derek Sullivan breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 34 played minutes Florida AFC got a freekick which was hit by Osvaldo Dodd. Derek Sullivan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Damien Hamm in the 39th minute of the match. James Reyna didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Stewart Bocanegra went, in the 41st minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Osvaldo Dodd during the 44th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Osvaldo Dodd kicked well hit freekick during the 44th minute of the match. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Damien Hamm made a kick off. After a rather tough play, Honeyfreaks's Octavio Gregg got a free kick in the 53rd minute. In the 54th minute, Rudolph Goldberg sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Honeyfreaks's James Reyna didn't even have to move. After a defensive mix-up in Honeyfreaks's zone, Stewart Bocanegra stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. James Reyna came out of the goal and Stewart Bocanegra tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 63 played minutes Honeyfreaks got a freekick which was hit by Leonardo Dempsey. When Florida AFC's Stewart Bocanegra in the 66th minute got a chance for a shot 66th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Honeyfreaks's goalie prevented a goal. James Reyna showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Stewart Bocanegra, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. Damien Hamm's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Derek Sullivan read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 69th minute of play. 75 minutes into the match, Octavio Gregg had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Derek Sullivan. Florida AFC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Octavio Gregg was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Emerson Mora in the 79th minute of play forced Florida AFC's goalkeeper Derek Sullivan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Emerson Mora struck a weak shot in the 83rd minute. Derek Sullivan didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Honeyfreaks. Emerson Mora's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Derek Sullivan read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 86th minute of play. Alonso Echols charged in rather forcefully in the 86th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Alonso Echols the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 89th minute Honeyfreaks were awarded a corner. Leonardo Dempsey went to the cornerflag to take it. When Damien Hamm came up free with the goalie in the 90th minute, the Honeyfreaks fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Damien Hamm couldn't finish the play. In the 92nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Florida AFC's goalkeeper Derek Sullivan, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Florida AFC walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
