In the 4th minute the ball was on its way in behind Lake Odessa AFC's goalkeeper Brendon Bragg, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Theodore Bell hit a great ball. Locust Valley AFC's Fred English got a good chance for a goal in the 9th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Jared Zeigler fell near the penalty area in the 10th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Lake Odessa AFC's protests and gave Jared Zeigler a yellow card for diving instead. Locust Valley AFC's Noah Michel couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 11th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Lake Odessa AFC. Kenny Messer came out of the goal in the 17th minute to try and stop a shot by Lake Odessa AFC's Jake Kauffman. But to his dismay, Jake Kauffman quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Brendon Bragg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dana Spicer, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a little luck, Locust Valley AFC's Kenny Messer got control of the ball when Jake Kauffman tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 35th minute of the match Mckinley Muniz shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Kenny Messer showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 35th match minute, Locust Valley AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fred English to maneuver through the defense. Loren Dempsey had several of the Locust Valley AFC's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 36 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 2-0 score and a disappointed Kenny Messer as he didn't even see the shot coming.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Dana Spicer stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Loren Dempsey sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 66th minute Loren Dempsey shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kenny Messer saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Loren Dempsey fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kenny Messer having to interfere. The supporters of Lake Odessa AFC booed when Locust Valley AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 75 match minutes in a wonderful position. Josiah Palacios didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 83rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Lake Odessa AFC's goalkeeper Brendon Bragg, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 86th minute Loren Dempsey shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kenny Messer saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Loren Dempsey received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Kenny Messer tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Loren Dempsey fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kenny Messer having to interfere. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Lake Odessa AFC fully deserved thier win.
