Spectators: 6803 (Terracing: 5100, Seating: 1550, VIP seats: 153) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Fred English made the kick off which started today's match. When Jack Gorman fell near the penalty area in the 6th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Houston FC's protests and gave Jack Gorman a yellow card for diving instead. Freddie McNamara fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kenny Messer having to interfere. In the 11th minute, Nicky Neal got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Kenny Messer showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nicky Neal in the 16th minute of the match. In the 19th minute Owen Lancaster shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zane Dickens saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 22 minutes into the match, Houston FC's goal looked a bit too open when Fred English came free, but Zane Dickens reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Fred English scored 1-0 in the 22nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Zane Dickens, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. When Houston FC's Nicky Neal in the 26th minute got a chance for a shot 26th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Locust Valley AFC's goalie prevented a goal. Zane Dickens made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fred English in the 28th minute of play. Kenny Messer showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Freddie McNamara, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. Zane Dickens showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Owen Lancaster in the 31st minute of the match. Zane Dickens was out of position in the 32 minute of play, and Fred English capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Fred English really showed his touch with that goal: 2-0. When the match had gone on for 36 minutes, Josiah Palacios took a quick shot and it went in 3-0 without a chance for Zane Dickens to make any attempt to save it. Locust Valley AFC's Kenny Messer played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Freddie McNamara in the 46th minute of play. Nicky Neal might have been able to make a better finish in the 47th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Kenny Messer. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Nicky Neal ran back to his position shaking his head. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Nicky Neal stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Zane Dickens didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Dana Spicer went, in the 53rd minute, to the upper right corner, 4-0 was the resulting score. When Freddie McNamara came up free with the goalie in the 59th minute, the Houston FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Freddie McNamara couldn't finish the play. Freddie McNamara received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Kenny Messer came out and tried to block the shot, but Freddie McNamara slotted it home off the left post making it 4-1 in the 60th minute. 64 minutes into the match, Fred English had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Zane Dickens. Houston FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Fred English was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-1. Nicky Neal struck a weak shot in the 68th minute. Kenny Messer didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Houston FC. Fabian Koenig recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 69th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 71 minutes into the match, Locust Valley AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Nicky Neal came free, but Kenny Messer reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nicky Neal in the 72nd minute of play forced Locust Valley AFC's goalkeeper Kenny Messer to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Zane Dickens showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dana Spicer in the 78th minute of the match. 79 minutes into the match, Houston FC's goal looked a bit too open when Fred English came free, but Zane Dickens reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Freddie McNamara in the 82nd minute of play forced Locust Valley AFC's goalkeeper Kenny Messer to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Nicky Neal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kenny Messer having to interfere. Kenny Messer showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Laurence Cardoso, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute. With a little luck, Locust Valley AFC's Kenny Messer got control of the ball when Freddie McNamara tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a rather tough play, Locust Valley AFC's Mark Cooke got a free kick in the 96th minute. When the referee blew the final whistle, Locust Valley AFC could leave the field as winners, despite Houston FC having more of the ball for most of the match.
