Geoff Walton made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. In the 35th minute, Quincy Tillman hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 38th minute, Daren Seay got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Daren Seay received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Kenny Messer tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Kenny Messer took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daren Seay, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Daren Seay stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. LA CLIPPERS's Geoff Walton proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 54th minute of the match, managed to save LA CLIPPERS from getting a goal against them. Cason Conner's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Kenny Messer read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 56th minute of play. If Daren Seay had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Kenny Messer took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cason Conner, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Kenny Messer showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daren Seay in the 65th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Locust Valley AFC's zone, Cason Conner stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Kenny Messer came out of the goal and Cason Conner tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Cason Conner received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Kenny Messer tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Geoff Walton was a little too slow when Fred English got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 76th minute. The score was now 2-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cason Conner in the 80th minute of play forced Locust Valley AFC's goalkeeper Kenny Messer to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Geoff Walton made a fantastic save in the 81st minute, when Dana Spicer sent off a good shot on target. LA CLIPPERS's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Fred English 82 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 2-3. The audience was convinced that Cason Conner's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Kenny Messer was relentless in the 91st minute of the game. 92 minutes into the game, Quincy Tillman was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. LA CLIPPERS's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Locust Valley AFC the free kick. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Geoff Walton showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. LA CLIPPERS were unable to convert their possession into goals, allowing Locust Valley AFC to leave the ground with a draw.
