Brendon Bragg made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Darell Gallo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Loren Dempsey in the 17th minute of play. After having played for 23 minutes, Jake Kauffman managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Lake Odessa AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jake Kauffman was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Loren Dempsey sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Darell Gallo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jared Zeigler, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Bradley Hawkins fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Brendon Bragg having to interfere. Loren Dempsey blasted a shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Darell Gallo having to make a save. After the first half AC Milan were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Loren Dempsey to strike the kick off in the second half. If Bradley Hawkins had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 67th minute, Cristopher Delarosa reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Brendon Bragg. The goal made the score 1-2. A.J. Moody might have been able to make a better finish in the 71st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Darell Gallo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. A.J. Moody ran back to his position shaking his head. 75 minutes into the game, Loren Dempsey cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-2. Darell Gallo was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Darell Gallo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Loren Dempsey, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. In the 81st match minute, Lake Odessa AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cameron Gardner to maneuver through the defense. 89 minutes into the match, AC Milan's goal looked a bit too open when Jake Kauffman came free, but Darell Gallo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Darell Gallo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Loren Dempsey in the 91st minute of the match. Jake Kauffman took the ball and in the 94 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Darell Gallo. Darell Gallo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-2. Lake Odessa AFC were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of AC Milan for a fine match.
