After a rather tough play, Devoto Shores FC's Dennis Grimes got a free kick in the 15th minute. If Marcos Newby had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Damon Grossman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Trevor Marin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 20 minutes, Damon Grossman managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Jarrettsville's supporters crossed their fingers, but Damon Grossman was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 23rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Devoto Shores FC's goalkeeper Trevor Marin, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Damon Grossman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Trevor Marin having to interfere. Devon Guinn struck a weak shot in the 37th minute. Trevor Marin didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Jarrettsville. The Devoto Shores FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Jarrettsville were winning 0-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Weldon Henry made a kick off. Marcos Newby sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 55th minute Marcos Newby shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Trevor Marin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Trevor Marin was out of position in the 95 minute of play, and Arnold Matos capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Arnold Matos really showed his touch with that goal: 0-2. When the final whistle sounded Jarrettsville left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Devoto Shores FC.
