Glen Carbon's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Filiberto Sams in the 20th minute. Glen Carbon's Filiberto Sams was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Derick Lamb in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. A collision led to corndog getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Jonas Horn hit a great ball. 34 minutes into the match, Raphael Miner dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Waldo Aviles, 1-0. Casper Hogan blasted a shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Derick Lamb having to make a save. When Raphael Miner fell near the penalty area in the 39th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored corndog's protests and gave Raphael Miner a yellow card for diving instead. In the 41st minute Silas Coyle shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Derick Lamb saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Glen Carbon's zone, Dante Mason stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Waldo Aviles came out of the goal and Dante Mason tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 46th minute the ball was on its way in behind corndog's goalkeeper Derick Lamb, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

Silas Coyle received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Derick Lamb tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Waldo Norton kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. 69 minutes into the match, Glen Carbon's goal looked a bit too open when Dante Mason came free, but Waldo Aviles reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A nice corner shot did that Terrell Harris got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Waldo Aviles quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. 73 minutes into the game, Reuben Lincoln was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Glen Carbon's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave corndog the free kick. Reuben Lincoln kicked well hit freekick during the 73rd minute of the match. corndog's Terrell Harris couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 74th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Glen Carbon. Casper Hogans short, quick shot in the 77thth minute got Derick Lamb to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. With a little luck, corndog's Derick Lamb got control of the ball when Silas Coyle tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 88 minutes, Silas Coyle made it 1-1 with a short kick to the right side. corndog's Derick Lamb tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot.
