When Adrian Stokes fell near the penalty area in the 5th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ladysmith's protests and gave Adrian Stokes a yellow card for diving instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Arnoldo Major got free with Daniel Deaton in the 6th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Domenic Norman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Garret Goff tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Arnoldo Major recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 12th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ladysmith's Domenic Norman got a good chance for a goal in the 14th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The supporters of Englewood FC booed when Ladysmith was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Domenic Norman didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 19th minute Hunter Zavala shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Daniel Deaton saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Ladysmith getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Titus Horton hit a great ball. Englewood FC's Hunter Zavala got a good chance for a goal in the 20th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Arnoldo Major received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Daniel Deaton tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Daniel Deaton showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hunter Zavala in the 25th minute of the match. Daniel Deaton was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Hunter Zavala showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-0 in the 43 minute of play. After having played for 48 minutes, Arnoldo Major managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Englewood FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Arnoldo Major was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

If Arnoldo Major had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Hunter Zavala fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Daniel Deaton having to interfere. Terence Terry hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. After 67 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Englewood FC! Kenny Morales walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. 74 minutes into the match, Ladysmith's goal looked a bit too open when Arnoldo Major came free, but Daniel Deaton reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Arnoldo Major had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Arnoldo Major in the 95th minute of play forced Ladysmith's goalkeeper Daniel Deaton to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Englewood FC's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
