Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Gaspard Oster took the kick off in the first half of the match. 6 minutes into the match, Savannah Striders's goal looked a bit too open when Norbert Cardwell came free, but Taci Yekta reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 7th match minute, Azzurri was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tyrone Blanton to maneuver through the defense. In the 11th minute, Brant Merritt ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Taci Yekta was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. In the 16th minute Gaspard Oster shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tad Stiles saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jarod Barnhart kicked well hit freekick during the 16th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gaspard Oster in the 19th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Tad Stiles prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Radomil Ogrodowicz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tad Stiles having to interfere. Radomil Ogrodowicz struck a weak shot in the 24th minute. Tad Stiles didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Savannah Striders. After 27 minutes, Radomil Ogrodowicz mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Savannah Striders and the Azzurri players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Savannah Striders's Radomil Ogrodowicz got a free kick in the 27th minute. Tyrone Blanton could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 28th minute of the match, but Taci Yekta made a huge save. 31 minutes into the game, Savannah Striders's Daron Strong nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Tad Stiles made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Savannah Striders's Taci Yekta played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Norbert Cardwell in the 34th minute of play. Jarod Barnhart received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Taci Yekta came out and tried to block the shot, but Jarod Barnhart slotted it home off the left post making it 2-1 in the 36th minute. The supporters of Savannah Striders booed when Azzurri was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ed Shea didn't get a good kick on the ball. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Norbert Cardwell was the one to do the kick off. In the 53rd minute, Savannah Striders's Art Pepper seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Art Pepper the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Savannah Striders protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Art Pepper had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. Art Pepper hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Savannah Striders's zone, Tyrone Blanton stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Taci Yekta came out of the goal and Tyrone Blanton tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 59th minute, Radomil Ogrodowicz got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 61st minute Gregorio German shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tad Stiles saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 63rd minute, Jarod Barnhart made a precise shot to the right of Taci Yekta. Savannah Striders's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-1. Savannah Striders's Taci Yekta played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Robert Courtney in the 66th minute of play. Taci Yekta made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Norbert Cardwell in the 67th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Azzurri's zone, Gregorio German stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tad Stiles came out of the goal and Gregorio German tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 75th minute Norbert Cardwell shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Taci Yekta saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jarod Barnhart sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Taci Yekta showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Brant Merritt, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute. In the 85th match minute, Savannah Striders was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Radomil Ogrodowicz to maneuver through the defense. Taci Yekta came out of the goal in the 88th minute to try and stop a shot by Azzurri's Jarod Barnhart. But to his dismay, Jarod Barnhart quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Robert Courtney in the 91st minute of play forced Savannah Striders's goalkeeper Taci Yekta to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 93 minutes into the match, Savannah Striders's goal looked a bit too open when Brant Merritt came free, but Taci Yekta reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gregorio German recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 95th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. Azzurri were victorious despite being under pressure from Savannah Striders for much of the match.
