Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Bill Dunbar kicked off to start the match. Mason Butcher received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 3rd minute. Rueben Farrell tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet as TEXASFC's Bill Dunbar slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Landon London. That made the score 1-0 after 7 minutes of play. Landon London didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 11th minute, which inside left pole to 2-0. HBG Knoxville's Landon London played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Romeo Merchant in the 14th minute of play. Landon London made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bill Dunbar in the 15th minute of play. Bill Dunbar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Landon London having to interfere. Landon London showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bill Dunbar in the 26th minute of the match. If Dirk Stewart had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Curt Lang's late challenge caught a HBG Knoxville's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Curt Lang helped the player get up and apologised. After 31 played minutes TEXASFC got a freekick which was hit by Curt Lang. Rueben Farrell didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Mason Butcher went, in the 36th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. Romeo Merchant struck a weak shot in the 39th minute. Landon London didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for TEXASFC.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Mason Butcher made a kick off. TEXASFC's Romeo Merchant got a good chance for a goal in the 55th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 56th minute of the match Ahmed Messer shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Landon London showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Rueben Farrell showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mason Butcher, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. Mason Butcher fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rueben Farrell having to interfere. Rueben Farrell made a fantastic save in the 63rd minute, when Dirk Stewart sent off a good shot on target. After a defensive mix-up in HBG Knoxville's zone, Bill Dunbar stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Landon London came out of the goal and Bill Dunbar tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Dirk Stewart sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 80th minute of the match Lenny Owen shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Rueben Farrell showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Wade Golden during the 87th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of HBG Knoxville booed when TEXASFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 87 match minutes in a wonderful position. Wade Golden didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a little luck, TEXASFC's Rueben Farrell got control of the ball when Dirk Stewart tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 93rd minute Romeo Merchant shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Landon London saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. For all the effort they put into the match, the HBG Knoxville players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for TEXASFC.
