In the 89th minute the ball was on its way in behind New York Towers's goalkeeper Hank Gill, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After some careless play in the New York Towers defense, Cason Cedillo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Hank Gill. The New York Towers fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Hank Gill should have stopped the shot. Riverside's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
