Robin Montgomery made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ace Dougherty in the 13th minute of play. With 21 minutes on the clock, Rex Durham commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. Robin Montgomery showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ace Dougherty, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rich Lane in the 25th minute of play forced Los Angeles Foxes's goalkeeper Robin Montgomery to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A sloppy throw-in by Leland Valle in the 29th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Los Angeles Foxes's Alonzo Laird. Robin Montgomery came out of the goal in the 32nd minute to try and stop a shot by Irmo's Brendan Payne. But to his dismay, Brendan Payne quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Leland Valle made in the 35th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Los Angeles Foxes's Cássio Brodel. After 38 minutes, Rich Lane mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Irmo and the Los Angeles Foxes players grew even worse after the yellow card. 40 minutes into the game, Alonzo Laird was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Los Angeles Foxes's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Irmo the free kick. A collision led to Los Angeles Foxes getting a freekick after 40 minutes play. Alonzo Laird hit a great ball. In the 45th match minute, Los Angeles Foxes was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gaspar Garci to maneuver through the defense. Robin Montgomery showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ace Dougherty in the 48th minute of the match. After the first half Irmo were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ace Dougherty was the one to do the kick off. With a little luck, Los Angeles Foxes's Robin Montgomery got control of the ball when Rich Lane tried to sneak it across the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Ace Dougherty kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Robin Montgomery. That made the score 0-3 in the 59 minute of play. Ace Dougherty could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 67th minute of the match, but Robin Montgomery made a huge save. Brendan Payne scored 0-4 in the 68th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Robin Montgomery, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 76 minutes into the game, Irmo's Ace Dougherty nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Robin Montgomery made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-5. 82 minutes into the game, Bobby Dempsey was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Los Angeles Foxes's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Irmo the free kick. A collision led to Los Angeles Foxes getting a freekick after 82 minutes play. Bobby Dempsey hit a great ball. In the 91st minute, Samuel Love got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 94 minutes into the match, Los Angeles Foxes's goal looked a bit too open when Brendan Payne came free, but Robin Montgomery reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With an all-out effort, Irmo's Robin Montgomery threw himself towards the right post 95 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Samuel Love, which otherwise would have been placed in the net.
