Seating: 1838, VIP seats: 159) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Tommie Medley took the kick off in the first half of the match. After 4 played minutes Chick-fil-a got a freekick which was hit by Don Pruett. In the 6th minute the ball was on its way in behind Chick-fil-a's goalkeeper Rex Pearson, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Tyron Fry sent away a hard shot on goal in the 8th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Rex Pearson stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Oswaldo Easley's shot from short distance in the 10th minute. In the 11th minute Leo Downing shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rex Pearson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Chick-fil-a's zone, Leo Downing stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rex Pearson came out of the goal and Leo Downing tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 20th minute of the match Paul Morin shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Rex Pearson showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After 21 minutes, Don Pruett mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Chick-fil-a and the Acushnet players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 21 played minutes Chick-fil-a got a freekick which was hit by Don Pruett. After having played for 23 minutes, Leo Downing managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Acushnet's supporters crossed their fingers, but Leo Downing was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Leo Downing in the 24th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Rex Pearson saved Chick-fil-a from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leo Downing in the 36th minute of play forced Chick-fil-a's goalkeeper Rex Pearson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Acushnet's Tyron Fry in the 37th minute got a chance for a shot 37th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Chick-fil-a's goalie prevented a goal. Leo Downing took the ball and in the 38 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Rex Pearson. Rex Pearson dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Ivan Saucedo didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 44th minute, which inside left pole to 1-1. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Leo Downing stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Acushnet's Oswaldo Easley got a free kick in the 52nd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Willis Brandon in the 53rd minute of play forced Acushnet's goalkeeper Ivan Saucedo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Tyron Fry got free with Rex Pearson in the 59th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Oswaldo Easley during the 66th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 67th minute of the match Tobias Schumacher shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ivan Saucedo showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Tyron Fry sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Rex Pearson made an important save on a dangerous shot by Oswaldo Easley in the 73rd minute. Chick-fil-a's Rex Pearson proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 74th minute of the match, managed to save Chick-fil-a from getting a goal against them. Acushnet's Ivan Saucedo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tommie Medley in the 75th minute of play. After 76 minutes of play Acushnet's Oswaldo Easley was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 78 minutes into the match, Tommie Medley had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ivan Saucedo. Acushnet's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Tommie Medley was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. Timmy Nixon fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ivan Saucedo having to interfere. Leo Downing recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 82nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Acushnet's zone, Timmy Nixon stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ivan Saucedo came out of the goal and Timmy Nixon tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leo Downing in the 87th minute of play forced Chick-fil-a's goalkeeper Rex Pearson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Acushnet's Ivan Saucedo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Don Pruett in the 95th minute of play. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. Chick-fil-a were victorious despite being under pressure from Acushnet for much of the match.
