An unexpectedly hard shot by Neal Bowling in the 2nd minute of play forced Boston University's goalkeeper Raúlo Irisarri to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 3rd minute Vito Arnold shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Raúlo Irisarri saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Boston University getting a freekick after 4 minutes play. Jesse Cannon hit a great ball. In the 5th minute, Roosevelt Cermak hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Shawn Wood blasted a shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ismael Freeman having to make a save. 13 minutes into the match, Boca Raton FC's Neal Bowling sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Raúlo Irisarri narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 17 minutes into the game, Theodore Contreras was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Boston University's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Boca Raton FC the free kick. Boca Raton FC's Ismael Freeman played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zack Lindsey in the 22nd minute of play. In the 22nd match minute, Boca Raton FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Oswaldo Chandler to maneuver through the defense. Shawn Wood scored 0-2 in the 25th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ismael Freeman, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 30th minute, Shawn Wood ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ismael Freeman was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. Boston University's Raúlo Irisarri proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 34th minute of the match, managed to save Boston University from getting a goal against them. Ismael Freeman showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zack Lindsey in the 37th minute of the match. A collision led to Boca Raton FC getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Denver Kiser hit a great ball. After 49 played minutes Boca Raton FC got a freekick which was hit by Vito Arnold. Disappointed in the 1-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Boca Raton FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Vito Arnold was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Raúlo Irisarri breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The supporters of Boca Raton FC booed when Boston University was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Danial Hammons didn't get a good kick on the ball. Neal Bowling struck a weak shot in the 59th minute. Raúlo Irisarri didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Boca Raton FC. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Vito Arnold in the 62nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Raúlo Irisarri prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 63 played minutes Boca Raton FC got a freekick which was hit by Neal Bowling. In the 66th match minute, Boca Raton FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jessie Doss to maneuver through the defense. In the 69th minute Vito Arnold shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Raúlo Irisarri saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Zack Lindsey fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ismael Freeman having to interfere. With a little luck, Boca Raton FC's Ismael Freeman got control of the ball when Jesse Cannon tried to sneak it across the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Shawn Wood got free with Ismael Freeman in the 95th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Boston University's Theodore Contreras suffered a sore thigh after 96 minutes and couldn't finish the game. 96 minutes into the game, Neal Bowling was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Boca Raton FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Boston University the free kick. Boston University made a substitution.
