The supporters of Boston University booed when Grenada was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marlon Sierra didn't get a good kick on the ball. Oliver Davies made a fantastic save in the 11th minute, when Shawn Wood sent off a good shot on target. 15 minutes into the match, Boston University's Zack Lindsey sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Oliver Davies narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 17th minute of the match Boston University got a corner. Grenada's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Kaspar Niinep ran over to the corner to take the kick. It was a well-played corner which Trenton Estes managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. When Boston University's Shawn Wood, in the 18th minute, received a pass right in front of the net, it looked like a certain goal, but his shot went outside. A wasted opportunity for Boston University. Pete Kaiser struck a weak shot in the 19th minute. Raúlo Irisarri didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Grenada. Shawn Wood's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 21stth minute, Oliver Davies skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. After 28 played minutes Grenada got a freekick which was hit by Chance Cole. In the 29th minute, Pete Kaiser hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 32nd minute Reynaldo Madden shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Raúlo Irisarri saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Pete Kaiser hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Zack Lindsey in the 38th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Oliver Davies saved Grenada from getting behind. Grenada's Oliver Davies played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zack Lindsey in the 39th minute of play. In the 41st minute Reynaldo Madden shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Raúlo Irisarri saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Reynaldo Madden received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Raúlo Irisarri tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Zack Lindsey to strike the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Grenada's Chance Cole got a free kick in the 52nd minute. Shawn Wood received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Oliver Davies tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Grenada's Oliver Davies played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Shawn Wood in the 58th minute of play. 59 minutes into the game, Chance Cole was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Grenada's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Boston University the free kick. Chance Cole hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 60th minute, Zack Lindsey managed to get in a good position for a shot. Boston University's supporters rose to their feet, but Zack Lindsey was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Oliver Davies breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Shawn Wood hit a great freekick 67 minutes into the match. Pete Kaiser could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 82nd minute of the match, but Raúlo Irisarri made a huge save. Hal Wray hit a great freekick 83 minutes into the match. After 87 played minutes Grenada got a freekick which was hit by Hal Wray. After 88 minutes, Shawn Wood made it 1-0 with a short kick to the right side.
