Spectators: 7820 (Terracing: 6020, Seating: 1800, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Gerardo Cote took the kick off in the first half of the match. A collision led to Topton getting a freekick after 6 minutes play. Hector Gillespie hit a great ball. If Gerardo Cote had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 7th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jonah Bates took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ronny Handy, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ronny Handy took the ball and in the 13 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jonah Bates. Jonah Bates dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. After a defensive mix-up in Topton's zone, Gerardo Cote stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gregg Erickson came out of the goal and Gerardo Cote tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 24 minutes into the match, Southside USA's goal looked a bit too open when Ronny Handy came free, but Jonah Bates reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ray Valenzuela received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Gregg Erickson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jordan Egan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Travis Cangiano kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. In the 33rd minute, Jordan Egan got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 38th play minute Gerardo Cote came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Gregg Erickson. 1-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 42nd minute, Ronny Handy managed to get in a good position for a shot. Topton's supporters rose to their feet, but Ronny Handy was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jonah Bates breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Jonah Bates made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ronny Handy in the 48th minute of play. The Southside USA players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Topton were winning 1-2.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ronny Handy was the one to do the kick off. After a rather tough play, Topton's Percy Riker got a free kick in the 57th minute. Gregg Erickson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jordan Egan in the 58th minute of the match. After having played for 60 minutes, Ray Valenzuela managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Southside USA's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ray Valenzuela was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The tension between the Southside USA and the Topton players grew even worse after the yellow card. Jonah Bates came out of the goal and Elliot Starks tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Chants of Topton echoed around the stadium as the match drew to a close. Supporters and players were both delighted with the win, as Southside USA had held the ball for most of the match.
