Southside USA's players were relieved. When the match had gone on for 7 minutes, Manuel Cunha put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Isaiah Grove. Duane Glenn fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonah Bates having to interfere. The supporters of Southside USA booed when Washburn FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Robbie Hicks didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 22ndth minute of the game Manuel Cunha who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Washburn FC's Isaiah Grove was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Casey Whitfield in the 23rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jonah Bates prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Josef Gustafson hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. In the 27th match minute, Southside USA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Manuel Cunha to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 29 minutes, Casey Whitfield managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Washburn FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Casey Whitfield was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Playo Moreno in the 31st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Isaiah Grove saved Washburn FC from getting behind. When Manuel Cunha was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 32 minutes had been played. In the 33rd minute, Manuel Cunha hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 37 minutes into the match, Southside USA's Playo Moreno sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Isaiah Grove narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Dalton McElroy hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Casey Whitfield in the 46th minute of play forced Southside USA's goalkeeper Jonah Bates to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jonah Bates was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Duane Glenn showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-1 in the 47 minute of play.

The wind increased when Gerardo Cote made the kick off in the second half. 56 minutes into the match, Washburn FC's goal looked a bit too open when Gerardo Cote came free, but Isaiah Grove reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gerardo Cote recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 57th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The audience was convinced that Casey Whitfield's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jonah Bates was relentless in the 59th minute of the game. After having played for 61 minutes, Playo Moreno managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Southside USA's Jonah Bates played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Casey Whitfield in the 66th minute of play. With a little luck, Washburn FC's Isaiah Grove got control of the ball when Playo Moreno tried to sneak it across the goal line. Playo Moreno received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Isaiah Grove came out and tried to block the shot, but Playo Moreno slotted it home off the left post making it 1-2 in the 73rd minute. Southside USA's Gerardo Cote got a good chance for a goal in the 78th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 81st minute, Casey Whitfield left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Washburn FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-2. In the 86th minute the ball was on its way in behind Washburn FC's goalkeeper Isaiah Grove, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Jonah Bates showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Scottie Reid in the 89th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Southside USA's Xavier Sierra got a free kick in the 91st minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Casey Whitfield in the 93rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jonah Bates saved Southside USA from getting behind. Jonah Bates showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Casey Whitfield, who was totally free with the ball in the 94th minute. Isaiah Grove showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gerardo Cote, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute.
