Dalton Klein fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Raúl Berger having to interfere. In the 23rd minute, Octavio Connors got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 34th match minute, Racing de Carolina was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Omar Peoples to maneuver through the defense. If Geoffrey Chamberlain had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Robbie Felton struck a weak shot in the 38th minute. Vaughn Shipman didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Club Internacional Miami. After 42 played minutes Racing de Carolina got a freekick which was hit by Omar Peoples. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Octavio Hines to strike the kick off in the second half. Jesus Norton hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. After 56 minutes, Von Garland mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Club Internacional Miami and the Racing de Carolina players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 56th minute, Von Garland hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the match had gone on for 78 minutes, Dalton Klein took a quick shot and it went in 0-1 without a chance for Raúl Berger to make any attempt to save it. After having played for 81 minutes, Alberto Gonzalez managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Racing de Carolina's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alberto Gonzalez was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Von Garland in the 84th minute of play forced Racing de Carolina's goalkeeper Vaughn Shipman to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 89 minutes into the match, Racing de Carolina's goal looked a bit too open when Von Garland came free, but Vaughn Shipman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Octavio Connors sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Racing de Carolina played a much better game than Club Internacional Miami and deserved their victory. The Club Internacional Miami players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
