Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Marlon Koenig in the 5th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Al Carson prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 6th minute, Dave Ashby hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Al Carson didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Mendenhall FC's Marlon Koenig shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 0-1 in the ordered_time% minute. Kerry Middleton received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Al Carson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 21st minute, Alexander Stern hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Richie Carney in the 22nd minute of play forced Port Aransas FC's goalkeeper Al Carson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Kerry Middleton sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Dave Ashby kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. Winfred Mora charged in rather forcefully in the 36th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Winfred Mora the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Mendenhall FC getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Winfred Mora hit a great ball. In the 37th match minute, Port Aransas FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sid Brunson to maneuver through the defense. 0-2 became the score in the 42nd minute when Marlon Koenig elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. In the 45th minute, Marlon Koenig left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Mendenhall FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. The Port Aransas FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Mendenhall FC were winning 0-3.

54 minutes into the game, Marlon Koenig cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-4. Al Carson was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 59 minutes into the game, Marlon Koenig recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Al Carson. Marlon Koenig showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-5. Ivan Oberle didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Dave Ashby went, in the 62nd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-5 was the resulting score. After some fancy dribbling in the 66th minute, Marlon Koenig managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mendenhall FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Marlon Koenig was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Al Carson breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a rather tough play, Port Aransas FC's Sidney Barnett got a free kick in the 75th minute. Mendenhall FC made a substitution. Kevin Wallace replaced Richie Carney. Mendenhall FC's Claudio Fitzpatrick was substituted for Kerry Middleton. Mendenhall FC's Tanner Baltazar was substituted for Marlon Koenig. Tanner Baltazars short, quick shot in the 79thth minute got Al Carson to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Al Carson came out of the goal in the 81st minute to try and stop a shot by Mendenhall FC's Bret Nickerson. But to his dismay, Bret Nickerson quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-6. Tanner Baltazar in the 88thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Al Carson, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Al Carson was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Tanner Baltazar showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-7 in the 94 minute of play. When the match was over Mendenhall FC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Port Aransas FC throughout the match.
