After some fancy dribbling in the 8th minute, Wendell Rooney managed to get in a good position for a shot. Universitatea7 Cluj's supporters rose to their feet, but Wendell Rooney was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Von Woodson breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 12th minute, Universitatea7 Cluj's Ding Mata ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Von Woodson. Von Woodson yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. Ding Mata kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. Jamel Ivy showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Brady Flynn in the 16th minute of the match. 20 minutes into the match, Universitatea7 Cluj's goal looked a bit too open when Brady Flynn came free, but Jamel Ivy reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jamel Ivy took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vincenzo Hicks, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 25th minute Brady Flynn shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jamel Ivy saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 27 minutes into the game, Mei Wei Feng was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Universitatea7 Cluj's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Nene Fc the free kick. In the 27th minute, one of Universitatea7 Cluj:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Universitatea7 Cluj. 28 minutes into the match, Cobi Talbot had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jamel Ivy. Universitatea7 Cluj's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Cobi Talbot was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Tom Atwood hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. Von Woodson didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Universitatea7 Cluj's Ding Mata shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 2-1 in the ordered_time% minute. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

In the 53rd minute Brady Flynn shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jamel Ivy saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Brady Flynn took the ball and in the 57 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jamel Ivy. Von Woodson didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Universitatea7 Cluj. After having played for 66 minutes, Jonas Alvarenga managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Universitatea7 Cluj's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jonas Alvarenga was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 68 minutes into the match, Universitatea7 Cluj's goalkeeper Jamel Ivy had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Nick Corbin. After a rather tough play, Universitatea7 Cluj's Mei Wei Feng got a free kick in the 72nd minute. The long shot by Cobi Talbot in the 73rd minute really tested Jamel Ivy's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Brady Flynn in the 75th minute of play forced Universitatea7 Cluj's goalkeeper Jamel Ivy to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Von Woodson came out of the goal in the 76th minute to try and stop a shot by Universitatea7 Cluj's Jonas Alvarenga. But to his dismay, Jonas Alvarenga quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-3. Nene Fc's Von Woodson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jonas Alvarenga in the 82nd minute of play. Wilmer Robinson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Von Woodson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Von Woodson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wendell Rooney, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Nick Corbin got free with Jamel Ivy in the 93rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Universitatea7 Cluj players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
