In the 16th minute, Samuel Balpuesta got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Birila Ziarza made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Frechoso Fidalgo in the 19th minute of play. Yataity AFC's Romeo Riguera proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 30th minute of the match, managed to save Yataity AFC from getting a goal against them. If Gelmiro Ledo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Frechoso Fidalgo in the 36th minute of play forced Achaval's goalkeeper Birila Ziarza to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Frechoso Fidalgo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 55 minutes into the match, Igon Banzola had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Romeo Riguera. After 67 minutes, Gelmiro Ledo made it 1-3 with a short kick to the right side. Achaval's Birila Ziarza tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 72nd match minute, Yataity AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Txilar Berrondo to maneuver through the defense. Igon Banzola fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Romeo Riguera having to interfere. When Lia Jesus fell near the penalty area in the 80th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Achaval's protests and gave Lia Jesus a yellow card for diving instead. Romeo Riguera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Samuel Balpuesta, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Frechoso Fidalgo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A hard shot 92 in the game by Gelmiro Ledo from a close distance when the talented Birila Ziarza managed to make a qualified save. Achaval's players were relieved. The Achaval supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Yataity AFC's performance. The match ended with a win for Yataity AFC.
