With a couple of smart ball manuevers Oliviero Celama in the 12th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Gilesindo Elguera saved Montevideo from getting behind. Yoelvis Marsol received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Bruno Palomarez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Furman Manglano during the 19th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 19th match minute, Diarte FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Furman Manglano to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Montevideo booed when Diarte FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Furman Manglano didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 24th minute, Montevideo's Florentino Area dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. In the 27th minute, Yoelvis Marsol got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Yoelvis Marsol fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bruno Palomarez having to interfere. Gilesindo Elguera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sesuldo Vazan, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. In the 34th match minute, Montevideo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Michael Natos to maneuver through the defense. Gilesindo Elguera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Victorino Boldu in the 36th minute of play. Michael Natos hit a great freekick 36 minutes into the match. Diarte FC's Victorino Boldu got a good chance for a goal in the 38th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Florentino Area stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Furman Manglano kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. In the 56th minute, Nicanor Padriña hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Sesuldo Vazan came up free with the goalie in the 63rd minute, the Diarte FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sesuldo Vazan couldn't finish the play. Bruno Palomarez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Florentino Area, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 71stth minute of the game Victorino Boldu who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Montevideo's Gilesindo Elguera was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When Sesuldo Vazan came up free with the goalie in the 72nd minute, the Diarte FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sesuldo Vazan couldn't finish the play. Montevideo's Gilesindo Elguera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Victorino Boldu in the 74th minute of play. 91 minutes into the match, Montevideo's goal looked a bit too open when Furman Manglano came free, but Gilesindo Elguera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Baumer Sominaya hit a great freekick 95 minutes into the match. Sesuldo Vazan could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 97th minute of the match, but Gilesindo Elguera made a huge save. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
