Eriz Minilo came out of the goal in the 20th minute to try and stop a shot by Pasto FC's Bastia Barriga. But to his dismay, Bastia Barriga quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. A collision led to Villeta AFC getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Lico Goyanes hit a great ball. Eriz Minilo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bastia Barriga in the 31st minute of the match. Villeta AFC's Amadeu Nogueira got a good chance for a goal in the 35th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Florencio Franquesa in the 42nd minute of play forced Villeta AFC's goalkeeper Eriz Minilo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Villeta AFC's Eriz Minilo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bastia Barriga in the 48th minute of play.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Hernando Odoardo was the one to do the kick off. 53 minutes into the match, Rodriguinho Gaúcho had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Vincente Piña. Pasto FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Rodriguinho Gaúcho was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. If Hernando Odoardo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 72nd minute, Hernando Odoardo made a precise shot to the right of Vincente Piña. Pasto FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-2. The supporters of Pasto FC booed when Villeta AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sarracino Barbeito didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 81 minutes, Hondo Caborredondo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Villeta AFC and the Pasto FC players grew even worse after the yellow card.
