Gregorio Monroy shot from long distance in the 4th minute, but Lucio Carbajal was prepared and stopped the ball at the left post. David Macías came out of the goal in the 7th minute to try and stop a shot by Enriquillo's Leo Mercado. But to his dismay, Leo Mercado quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Sergio Valdivia fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lucio Carbajal having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Sergio Valdivia in the 14th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Lucio Carbajal saved Enriquillo from getting behind. Lucio Carbajal showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sergio Valdivia in the 20th minute of the match. Sergio Valdivia fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lucio Carbajal having to interfere. In the 32nd minute, Diómedes Reyna got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Calixto Cerilo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Arquímedes Serrano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lucio Carbajal having to interfere. Sergio Valdivia fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lucio Carbajal having to interfere. David Macías came out of the goal in the 45th minute to try and stop a shot by Enriquillo's Anselmo Zapata. But to his dismay, Anselmo Zapata quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

Enriquillo's Lucio Carbajal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sergio Valdivia in the 56th minute of play. A collision led to Enriquillo getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Amando Mejía hit a great ball. Arquímedes Serrano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 75 minutes into the game, Arquímedes Serrano cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Lucio Carbajal was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Calixto Cerilo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. David Macías tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 86 minutes, Leo Mercado managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Enriquillo's supporters crossed their fingers, but Leo Mercado was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The Enriquillo players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
