Spectators: 6874 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1874, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Armando Canal kicked off to start the match. In the 3rd minute, Armando Canal ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Octavio Del Rio was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. After a rather tough play, Duarte's Raúl Jara got a free kick in the 7th minute. Octavio Del Rio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Armando Canal, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. Octavio Del Rio came out of the goal in the 10th minute to try and stop a shot by Atlantico FC's William Mena. But to his dismay, William Mena quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. If Armando Canal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Blas Almeyda made a fantastic save in the 17th minute, when Hernando Carrión sent off a good shot on target. Blas Almeyda made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bartolomé Minaya in the 20th minute of play. After having played for 29 minutes, Gustavo Ojeda managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Atlantico FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gustavo Ojeda was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Fidel Ramirez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Octavio Del Rio having to interfere. Octavio Del Rio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Armando Canal, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Octavio Del Rio stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Armando Canal's shot from short distance in the 34th minute. In the 36th minute the ball was on its way in behind Duarte's goalkeeper Octavio Del Rio, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 36 played minutes Duarte got a freekick which was hit by Tito Aguilar. Armando Canal's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Octavio Del Rio read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 43rd minute of play. In the 48thth minute of the game Armando Canal who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Duarte's Octavio Del Rio was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Bartolomé Minaya made a kick off. Gustavo Ojeda fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Octavio Del Rio having to interfere. Josimar Arredondo kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. Armando Canal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Octavio Del Rio having to interfere. Octavio Del Rio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Buenaventura Ramos in the 63rd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Armando Canal in the 64th minute of play forced Duarte's goalkeeper Octavio Del Rio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Octavio Del Rio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from William Mena in the 65th minute of play. In the 69th minute, Raúl Jara hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of Atlantico FC booed when Duarte was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Raúl Jara didn't get a good kick on the ball. Atlantico FC's Armando Canal got a good chance for a goal in the 71st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Atlantico FC's Edgar Gamboa was substituted for Gustavo Ojeda. Fabio Zabaleta received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Octavio Del Rio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Fidel Ramirez struck a weak shot in the 78th minute. Octavio Del Rio didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Atlantico FC. In the 83rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Duarte's goalkeeper Octavio Del Rio, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. A collision led to Duarte getting a freekick after 84 minutes play. Bartolomé Minaya hit a great ball. After having played for 86 minutes, Armando Canal managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Atlantico FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Armando Canal was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 90th minute, Armando Canal made a precise shot to the right of Octavio Del Rio. Duarte's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-4. When the match was over Atlantico FC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Duarte throughout the match.
