After a rather tough play, Delfines del Este F.C's Sil Corrales got a free kick in the 8th minute. After having played for 11 minutes, Timothy Paré managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Salcedo UC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Timothy Paré was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Sil Corrales kicked well hit freekick during the 12th minute of the match. Timothy Paré could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 13th minute of the match, but Héctor Calderón made a huge save. If Ciriaco Smith had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Salcedo UC's Leoncio Vera got a free kick in the 18th minute. 32 minutes into the match, Delfines del Este F.C's goalkeeper Héctor Calderón had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Timothy Paré. The audience thought a goal was coming when Anselmo Alcott got free with Héctor Calderón in the 34th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Salcedo UC's Timothy Paré was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 37th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. The supporters of Salcedo UC booed when Delfines del Este F.C was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fidel Molinos didn't get a good kick on the ball.

The wind increased when Ciriaco Smith made the kick off in the second half. In the 56th minute, José Luis Ontiveros hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Delfines del Este F.C's Ulises Estrada couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 58th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Salcedo UC. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Anselmo Alcott in the 65th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Héctor Calderón saved Delfines del Este F.C from getting behind. When Yorkis Armijo fell near the penalty area in the 67th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Salcedo UC's protests and gave Yorkis Armijo a yellow card for diving instead. Yorkis Armijo kicked well hit freekick during the 67th minute of the match. Timothy Paré sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ciriaco Smith received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Robert Villarreal tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Delfines del Este F.C's Héctor Calderón played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Timothy Paré in the 80th minute of play. If Timothy Paré had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
