Meziane Schoonmaker's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Said Djebbour read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 5th minute of play. 6 minutes into the match, Berlin's goal looked a bit too open when Meziane Schoonmaker came free, but Said Djebbour reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Meziane Schoonmaker fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Said Djebbour having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jean-Michel Saadane in the 10th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Said Djebbour saved Berlin from getting behind. 11 minutes in the game, Jean-Michel Saadane dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. Berlin's Ahmed Boulebda got a good chance for a goal in the 28th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 29th minute, Salah Sadmi got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Jean-Michel Saadane had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 35th minute, Merkel's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Ahmed Boulebda fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. In the 36th match minute, Merkel was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rabah Mehenni to maneuver through the defense. 45 minutes into the match, Merkel's Jean-Michel Saadane sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Said Djebbour narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Jean-Michel Saadane to make the kick off. Salah Sadmi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 51st minute. Madhi Kraouche tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 57thth minute of the game Jean-Michel Saadane who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Berlin's Said Djebbour was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 64 played minutes Berlin got a freekick which was hit by Yazid Drioueche. Salah Sadmi struck a weak shot in the 66th minute. Madhi Kraouche didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Berlin. With his leg Said Djebbour managed to avoid a goal in the 73rdth minute, when Merkel's Meziane Schoonmaker fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. 75 minutes into the match, Merkel's goal looked a bit too open when Ahmed Boulebda came free, but Madhi Kraouche reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Merkel's Meziane Schoonmaker got a good chance for a goal in the 79th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 88th minute, Meziane Schoonmaker managed to get in a good position for a shot. Merkel's supporters rose to their feet, but Meziane Schoonmaker was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Said Djebbour breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Jean-Michel Saadane received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Said Djebbour tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Berlin fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Merkel were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
