After a defensive mix-up in Real Madrid's zone, Yacine Sennaoui stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Hamid Mecherara came out of the goal and Yacine Sennaoui tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Menad Souakri had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Real Madrid's Hamid Mecherara proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 18th minute of the match, managed to save Real Madrid from getting a goal against them. Menad Souakri received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Guillaume Laurent Mansouri tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Real Madrid's Anthar Hemdani got a free kick in the 24th minute. In the 28th minute, Menad Souakri got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The supporters of Real Madrid booed when River Falls FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Redha Djaout didn't get a good kick on the ball. With an all-out effort, River Falls FC's Hamid Mecherara threw himself towards the right post 36 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Yacine Sennaoui, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Mamaar Bouzid in the 38thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Hamid Mecherara, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. In the 42nd minute of the match Kamel Meniri shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Guillaume Laurent Mansouri showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. The long shot by Tayeb Khendu in the 45th minute really tested Hamid Mecherara's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Menad Souakri sent away a hard shot on goal in the 49th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Yacine Sennaoui made the kick off in the second half. Guillaume Laurent Mansouri showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Chadli Zeghdoud in the 55th minute of the match. After 58 played minutes Real Madrid got a freekick which was hit by Anthar Hemdani. Mamaar Bouzid received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Chadli Zeghdoud's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Guillaume Laurent Mansouri read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 65th minute of play. 69 minutes into the match, River Falls FC's goal looked a bit too open when Chadli Zeghdoud came free, but Guillaume Laurent Mansouri reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 69th minute, Abd al-Asis Bentaala hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Chadli Zeghdoud's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Guillaume Laurent Mansouri read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 71st minute of play. Yacine Sennaoui sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 74th minute Yacine Sennaoui shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hamid Mecherara saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 77 minutes into the match, Real Madrid's Menad Souakri sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Guillaume Laurent Mansouri narrowly saved just below the crossbar. River Falls FC's Guillaume Laurent Mansouri proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 82nd minute of the match, managed to save River Falls FC from getting a goal against them.
