If Roscoe Bergeron had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A hard shot 15 in the game by Aristide Velasco from a close distance when the talented Diego Boyer managed to make a qualified save. Kemptville AFC's players were relieved. Aristide Velasco received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Diego Boyer tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Kemptville AFC's Willis Donovan got a free kick in the 24th minute. Diego Boyer made an important save on a dangerous shot by Aristide Velasco in the 26th minute. If Donn York had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the match had gone on for 32 minutes, Theo Carignan put it in 0-2 from a short distance just to the right of Jamaal Fitzpatrick. Kemptville AFC's Diego Boyer played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ramon Beal in the 49th minute of play. After the first half Kemptville AFC were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Roscoe Bergeron stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The audience thought a goal was coming when Theo Carignan got free with Jamaal Fitzpatrick in the 53rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 54 minutes into the match, Kemptville AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Donn York came free, but Diego Boyer reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Theo Carignan's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 58thth minute, Jamaal Fitzpatrick skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. In the 58th minute, Rubin Pitts hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Angus AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Aristide Velasco was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Diego Boyer breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 67 minutes into the match, Roscoe Bergeron notched a goal, 1-3, to the right of Angus AFC's Jamaal Fitzpatrick. Jamaal Fitzpatrick was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The audience thought a goal was coming when Theo Carignan got free with Jamaal Fitzpatrick in the 71st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 76th minute, Gail Roper hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Donn York fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Diego Boyer having to interfere. 83 minutes into the game, Angus AFC's Aristide Velasco nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Diego Boyer made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-3. During the 86th minute of the match Rubin Pitts completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Rubin Pitts a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Jamaal Fitzpatrick showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Roscoe Bergeron in the 91st minute of the match. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Kemptville AFC had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
