But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jordon McWilliams couldn't finish the play. Lanigan AFC's Gervais Ferland got a good chance for a goal in the 32nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Jordon McWilliams had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Josue Pham fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Virgil George having to interfere. In the 37th match minute, Aiyansh FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Charles Driscoll to maneuver through the defense. In the 46th minute, Josue Pham got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Josue Pham made a kick off. Virgil George made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Josue Pham in the 52nd minute of play. Virgil George stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Josue Pham's shot from short distance in the 56th minute. In the 57th minute, Jordon McWilliams got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. A hard shot 60 in the game by Gervais Ferland from a close distance when the talented Virgil George managed to make a qualified save. Aiyansh FC's players were relieved. Josue Pham recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 61st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Spencer Cartwright sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 64 minutes, Kasey Kim mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Lanigan AFC and the Aiyansh FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. 66 minutes into the match, Lanigan AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Jordon McWilliams came free, but Jerrell Platt reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gervais Ferland who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 70thth minute tested the skills of Virgil George when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Mike Carpenter charged in rather forcefully in the 73rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Mike Carpenter the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In a very dangerous position, a player in Lanigan AFC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 73rd minute. Penalty! In the 79th minute, Jordon McWilliams made a precise shot to the right of Jerrell Platt. Lanigan AFC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gervais Ferland got free with Virgil George in the 82nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Gervais Ferlands short, quick shot in the 82ndth minute got Virgil George to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Virgil George made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kasey Kim in the 84th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Harland McConnell during the 86th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 86th minute, Harland McConnell hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.
