Lanigan AFC's Jerrell Platt played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Trent Hinkle in the 6th minute of play. Lanigan AFC's Jerrell Platt proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 9th minute of the match, managed to save Lanigan AFC from getting a goal against them. If Josue Pham had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A beautiful save bye Commanda AFC's goalie prevented a goal. Emmett Lyons sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 28 minutes, Emmett Lyons mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Commanda AFC and the Lanigan AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Lanigan AFC booed when Commanda AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Emmett Lyons didn't get a good kick on the ball. Trent Hinkle received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Jerrell Platt tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Romain McNeal showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gervais Ferland, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. Emmett Lyons received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Jerrell Platt tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Lanigan AFC's Josue Pham in the 43rd minute got a chance for a shot 43rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Commanda AFC's goalie prevented a goal. After a rather tough play, Commanda AFC's Gustavo Colbert got a free kick in the 43rd minute. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Trent Hinkle made a kick off. In the 51st minute, Zane Jacques hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Trent Hinkle fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jerrell Platt having to interfere. Gervais Ferland struck a weak shot in the 58th minute. Romain McNeal didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Lanigan AFC. In the 61st minute of the match Kareem Vega sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Jerrell Platt skillfully saved the ball. Josue Pham sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 83rd match minute, Lanigan AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kasey Kim to maneuver through the defense. In the 87th minute, Josue Pham got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Harland McConnell fell near the penalty area in the 87th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Lanigan AFC's protests and gave Harland McConnell a yellow card for diving instead. Jerrell Platt came out of the goal in the 90th minute to try and stop a shot by Commanda AFC's Emmett Lyons. But to his dismay, Emmett Lyons quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 97th minute, Emmett Lyons managed to get in a good position for a shot. Commanda AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Emmett Lyons was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jerrell Platt breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Lanigan AFC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
