Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The supporters of Delburne booed when Pennington was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Albert Stapleton didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some careless play in the Pennington defense, Christophe Major kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Emerson Oneill. The Pennington fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Emerson Oneill should have stopped the shot. In the 19th minute Ronny Séguin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Emerson Oneill saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ronny Séguin in the 21st minute of play forced Pennington's goalkeeper Emerson Oneill to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Rogelio Rodrigues had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Evrard Hills took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Arlen Tatum, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the match had gone on for 29 minutes, Arlen Tatum took a quick shot and it went in 1-1 without a chance for Evrard Hills to make any attempt to save it. A collision led to Pennington getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Austin Conner hit a great ball. 43 minutes into the match, Ronny Séguin had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Emerson Oneill. Pennington's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ronny Séguin was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. Arlen Tatum received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 48th minute. Evrard Hills tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After the first half Delburne were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Christophe Major stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Ronny Séguin recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 53rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Christophe Major had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rogelio Rodrigues sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ronny Séguin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Emerson Oneill having to interfere. Ronny Séguin struck a weak shot in the 75th minute. Emerson Oneill didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Delburne. Delburne's Evrard Hills played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rogelio Rodrigues in the 85th minute of play. In the 86th minute, Arlen Tatum made a precise shot to the right of Evrard Hills. Delburne's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-3. A collision led to Pennington getting a freekick after 92 minutes play. Albert Stapleton hit a great ball. When Brain Laforge fell near the penalty area in the 94th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Delburne's protests and gave Brain Laforge a yellow card for diving instead. Arlen Tatum received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute.
