Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Eddie Carrière got the match started through his kick off. With a little luck, Mulvihill's Oswaldo Sands got control of the ball when Barnabé Noel tried to sneak it across the goal line. 9 minutes into the game, Barnabé Noel recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Oswaldo Sands. Barnabé Noel showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-0. After having played for 12 minutes, Ira Khan managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ruel's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ira Khan was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 17 played minutes Mulvihill got a freekick which was hit by Eddie Carrière. In the 18th minute, Adam Thomason hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 19 minutes, Barnabé Noel managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. In the 21st minute Ira Khan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Oswaldo Sands saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 30 minutes, Eddie Carrière mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Mulvihill and the Ruel players grew even worse after the yellow card. Eddie Carrière kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. Barnabé Noel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. The supporters of Ruel booed when Mulvihill was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Wilfredo Lapresse didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Barnabé Noel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Barnabé Noel stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Barnabé Noel in the 54th minute of play forced Mulvihill's goalkeeper Oswaldo Sands to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Humberto Medley fell near the penalty area in the 95th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Mulvihill's protests and gave Humberto Medley a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Mulvihill's Humberto Medley got a free kick in the 95th minute. Oswaldo Sands took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Barnabé Noel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
